民宿と食堂と、美術館と家プロジェクト、お仕事、旅行、そして生活。学生さんや新婚さんも...。 人が集まる場所なので、群像を描きたいと思っていました。 木板の継ぎ目を折り目に見立て、かつ、エアコンの室外機も二つ付いていることなので、 屏風絵風に「右隻左隻」という呼び方を添えました。 笑顔の群像、描かれた人の「 わ 」は、こちらに向かって開かれています。

You know a lo of people visit Naoshima. Even a premeditated travel will have an unplanned encounter. I realize here is the place smiles gather. So I've decided to draw the ring of smiling. The shape of the ring never closes. Becauce I want to celebrate all of your communications through this Art Island.
