Hideaki Shibata,YODOGAWA TECHNIQUE has been staying in Cairo,Egypt to help and communicate with the local artists participating in “From Rag to Riches” project , by the support of Japan Foundation Cairo. FRTR is a project (by Baad El Bahr, curated by Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Art) of public art made with up-cycled materials.The pilot project combines for the first time in Egypt two sensitive topics: the re-use of discarded materials and the attention toward public spaces.
Shibata's talk event will be held at Japan Foundation Cairo on August 16,2016.
