糸、染めてるんですか？
と聞かれることがあります。
基本的には、お店で買ってきた糸をそのまま使っています。
この作品では、かなり淡い色の絹糸を、数種類。かなり近い色のもの使い分けています。
副題にある通り、パステルも活躍。
写真左上の蕾の紫色の線だけではなく、糸の下にもパステルが仕込まれていて、
ところどころ、顔を覗かせています。
さらに、ちょいと企業秘密な方法によって、
部分的にパステルを少々絹糸に吸い上げさせているので、
一本の線の中で、色彩が揺らいで見えたりもします。
外側から色を着せるのではなく、
内側に潜ませ発するという方針で制作しました。
・・・
ということは、やはり、
「染めてる」ということになるのかな？
どうかな？？？

' Do you dye the thread? '
I'm often asked that.
Basically I buy the threads and use as they are.
The silk threads colored so light, several types of colors quite close, are used in this work.
Pastels play an active part too as in the subtitle.
At the violet lines of buds upper left of the photo,
Besides that, pastels hide under the threads and sometimes appear.
Moreover,
I made silk thread absorb pastel a little partially in a secret way.
That's why the color in a single line looks uneven.
Not to put the color on from outside,
but to hide it and make it emit from inside.
That was my plan about this work.
