光と大気の中にあるものを、線で掴むのは難しい。
花の色は、描けないなあ とつくづく思うのですが、
試行錯誤は人のサガ。
桜の白は、色というより、光と水で出来ている。そこに赤が差す。
黒い幹や根の中に、赤が隠されていて、
それが、広がる枝の先へ先へと運ばれ、花が開けば、大気に放たれる。
そういう解釈をもとに、この作品は生まれました。

Cherry blossoms are so delicate and complex.
My line might be too strong.
It's so difficult to catch what is in the light and atmosphere.
I really think that I can't draw the color of the blossoms...
But you know
trial and error is a human nature.
I set up a hypothesis.
The white of cherry blossoms is not a color.
It's made with the light and the moisture.
And the reddish tinge comes there.
Red is hidden in the black of trunks and roots,
and brought to the tip of brunches spread.
When the blossoms bloom, it's released.
And then this work was born.
